Why does Google Chrome not block some advertisements?

When I use firefox, all of them are blocked. The google chrome adblock extension doesn't block video advertisements. I don't want to use Firefox, but I don't want to see ads. Why? Is there maybe another extension that can block youtube ads?|||What's so wrong with ads? You really can't just ignore them and live with the fact that sites need to make money? %26gt;_%26gt; *****.
