Do Firefox Addons have more power than Chrome Extensions?

Here's my example. In Firefox, Adblock Plus can block every ad ever. I don't ever see them in Youtube videos or anywhere else. However, the Adblock Plus extension in Google Chrome(Which I used for a few months) doesn't seem to have the same power. Youtube videos embedded on websites had ads, some flash objects had ads that I wouldn't see in Firefox, and it just didn't seem like the same. Are Firefox Addons allowed more control than Chrome Extensions?Do Firefox Addons have more power than Chrome Extensions?
Firefox addons generally do do more, as chrome has tighter restrictions an limitations on what it's addons can do.

But, as a general consequence of this, chrome's speed suffers less from the addition of many extensions. While firefox 4 may have improved on this, many long time firefox users will know that using too many extensions in firefox will slow it down a bit. While it can happen in chrome as well, I have yet to slow down chrome with tons and tons of extensions installed.Do Firefox Addons have more power than Chrome Extensions?
